1984 did not make the cut. I couldn't do it. I appreciate the place it holds in the literary world but it's not my cup of tea. I ordered a used copy of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe from Amazon this week, so that should be coming soon. I haven't read that in about 16 years, so I'm excited!
I have never believed you should read a book just because it's deemed a "classic" by other people. If you like it, read it. If you don't, abandon ship. :)
ReplyDeleteps. have you heard of half.com? much better prices than amazon.
ReplyDeleteI know you posted this.... forever ago, but I just saw it. :-) Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely look into it!
